Factories Corporation of Jamaica has confirmed that a section of its Small Industries Complex on Marcus Garvey Drive in Kingston was damaged by fire on Tuesday.
FCJ said the fire appeared to be within a single leased unit close to the entrance gate, and that, based on preliminary information, it was largely confined within the single unit.
Minor damage to an adjoining unit occurred while memers of the Jamaica Fire Brigade were extinguishing the blaze, FCJ added.
The source of the fire is still being investigated.
An estimate of the damage has not yet been determined.
