School administrators at Bustamante High School in Clarendon are facing another setback after fire gutted two computer labs around 1 o'clock Tuesday morning.
Several computers, including laptops, as well as the building were destroyed in the blaze.
Board Chairman William Shagoury said the fire is the latest in a series of unfortunate events, including theft and vandalism, which have affected the institution.
While suggesting it may have been an electrical fire, Mr. Shagoury said he is expecting a thorough probe from the police, the Jamaica Public Service Company, and the Education Ministry.
Teaching and learning have been moved online.
But administrators are expressing concern about students who do not have access to the necessary devices.
They are working to have electricity restored to some classrooms to physically accommodate some students.
They are also appealing to the public for assistance to fast-track recovery efforts.
