Flow customers will
again be able to enjoy their favourite HBO channels after the cable company
signed an agreement with HBO Latin America Group on Monday.
Late last year, customers received a shock, after the HBO package was cut from Flow's line-up after the Broadcasting Commission issued a directive to three local cable operators to immediately cease transmission of HBO.
The companies, Flow, Logic One and Telstar were the three cable companies found to be in breach of the Copyright Act of 1993 and the Trademarks Act of 1999.
They circumvented the regulations to rightfully transmit international television signals and distribute them to their subscribers.
On Monday, Flow Jamaica signed an agreement with HBO to offer to its subscribers the Warner Channel which will allow Flow customers to enjoy their favourite drama or comedy, as well as mystery, action and science fiction.
Flow subscribers will now be able to enjoy HBO LAG's varied and comprehensive television programming and packages throughout the country, including channels like HBO, HBO Plus, HBO Family, Cinemax, Max Prime, and HBO HD, among others.
Due to the agreement between HBO Latin America Group and Flow, this is the first time that the Warner Channel is being broadcast in Jamaica.
