Ian "Pepe" Goodison, a member of Jamaicaís historic 1998 World Cup football team, is still in police custody in the United Kingdom, as a part of a football spot-fixing investigation.
The 41-year-old defender is currently contracted to English League One team, Tranmere Rovers FC.
Goodison is one of six men arrested, after a British paper reported that an undercover investigator met with former Portsmouth player Sam Sodje, who allegedly said he could make arrangement for footballers to get yellow cards, in exchange for tens of thousands of pounds.
Five of the men were released on bail; however, Goodison is still being questioned by the police.
A statement from Tranmere Rovers said, it is aware of reports in the media regarding Goodison.
The Club said, with the investigation still in progress, it has no further comment at this time.
Goodison made 120 appearances for Jamaicaís national team as well as 400 appearances for Tranmere Rovers Football Club.
