Former Tourism Minister Francis Tulloch remembered as champion of working class

Former Minister of Tourism Francis Tulloch has been hailed as a champion of the working class and a tireless advocate for the development of Jamaica's tourism industry.

Mr. Tulloch died on Thursday at the age of 81.

In a statement Thursday night, former Prime Minister P.J. Patterson said the Jamaican political landscape has lost one of its most venerable stalwarts.

Mr. Tulloch also served as Member of Parliament for Hanover East, St. James Central and St. James North West.

Mr. Patterson said Mr. Tulloch's representation of several western Jamaica constituencies led to widescale development.
