Four students mowed down on Spanish Town Road

Police were called in Thursday morning to clear debris from the entrance of Seaview Gardens in Kingston.

Angry residents blocked the road as they protested against an accident in which four children and a pedal cyclist from the community were seriously injured.

The police say the drivers of two Honda motor cars were racing, lost control of the vehicles and plowed into the children and the pedal cyclist.

The children were walking to school when they were hit.

The victims were taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where they are being treated.

The accident took place in front of the Red Stripe manufacturing plant along Spanish Town Road.
