A German
national was among two persons killed in a motor vehicle accident in Montego Bay, St. James Wednesday afternoon.
A third person has been hospitalized.
Dead are Christiana Bassfranziski, 24, of Munich, Germany and Peter Anthony Thorpe, a taxi operator of Porto Bello in St James.
The German woman was a passenger in a Toyota Corolla motor car being driven by Mr. Thorpe.
On entering the North Coast Highway from the Holiday Village, Mr. Thorpe collided with a Nissan Sunny motorcar that was traveling towards Falmouth.
The injured persons were taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where Mr. Thorpe and the German tourist were pronounced dead.
A third passenger in the Toyota Corolla, who sustained multiple injuries remains in hospital in serious condition.
