Haiti has been ranked as one of the poorest countries in the world.
This is according to the global Multidimensional Poverty Index released in New York yesterday.
The MPI, which examined 110 countries, was released by the United Nations Development Programme and the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative.
The report demonstrates that poverty reduction is achievable. However, the lack of comprehensive data on the COVID-19 pandemic poses challenges in assessing its immediate prospects.
