INDECOM Commissioner Hugh Faulkner, speaking Sunday on That's a Rap, with host Earl Moxam
The Independent Commission of Investigations [INDECOM] has referred dozens of police personnel for prosecution over the last five years.
That's according to INDECOM Commissioner Hugh Falconer.
"Currently, INDECOM has 55 matters in court, arising from investigations," he revealed, noting that a 56th case was taken to resolution last week when an officer was found guilty of unlawful wounding and was sentenced as a result.
Among those matters under investigation, he revealed that one goes back as far as 2010.
Another unresolved case, relates to a now ex-cop who, after resigning from the Jamaica Constabulary Force, had migrated to the United States, but upon his return to Jamaica recently, was taken into custody and charged.
Mr Falconer, was speaking Sunday on Radio Jamaica's That's a Rap.
