A National Health Service worker believed to be a Jamaican has been named as one of the victims of a quadruple stabbing at a south London home in the United Kingdom.

Dolet Hill was found with stab wounds about 1:40 Monday morning.

Two other women in their 30s and 40s, and a man in his 60s, who is believed to be Ms Hill's partner, were also found with stab wounds.

Chief Superintendent Colin Wingrove said the first officers on the scene arrived to the dreadful discovery after being alerted by neighbours.

All four were pronounced dead at the scene.

"This is a deeply shocking incident and we will do everything we can to provide support to everyone affected," he said.

A man in his late 20s was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to a south London police station, where he is still in custody.

Police believe all five people were known to each other.

Chief Superintendent Wingrove declined to say if the perpetrator was a relative of the victims.
