A Jamaican in Bermuda has been charged in connection with a plot to supply the controlled drug Fentanyl.
Maurice Martin, 33, was charged on Monday in a Magistrates’ Court for conspiring with others last year to supply 265 pounds of the synthetic opioid.
Two Canadians have been charged in connection with the case.
The Jamaican was not required to enter a plea as the matter will be heard in the Supreme Court.
He was released on $150,000 bail.
Mr. Martin is expected to appear before the Supreme Court in March.
