Jamaican man in UK, previously on deportation order, now charged with murder

A Jamaican in the UK, who successfully fought his deportation after being released from prison, has been charged with murder.

The man was due to be deported in February after serving a six-year jail sentence for possessing a gun, ammunition and drugs.

It'ss understood however that he claimed his deportation was a breach of  his rights and he was removed from the flight to Jamaica.

Within eight months, he was charged with the murder of  a man, attempted murder and possession of  a banned weapon.

The disclosure came yesterday as the Home Office faced demands in the House of Commons from the Labour Party and campaigners to halt a deportation flight to Jamaica, scheduled for Wednesday.
