The Board of Management of Jamaica College has agreed to the secondment of newly appointed Minister of Education, Youth and Information, Senator Ruel Reid, from his position as Principal to serve in the Cabinet.
The resolution was approved at a meeting of the Board on Monday.
The Jamaica College Board, in a statement, said the secondment will begin at the end of Reid’s eight-month vacation which starts this week.
Vice-Principal Rohan Wong will act as Principal in the interim.
