Another Jamaica Labour Party representative has made the switch to the governing People's National Party. Former JLP caretaker/candidate for Eastern St. Thomas, Jerizena Bailey is now the PNP's representative in the Dalvey Division for the Local Government Election to be held later this month. In the lead up to the December 29 General Election, Mr. Bailey was asked by the JLP to step aside as candidate for the Eastern St. Thomas constituency to make way for Dr. Patrece Charles-Freeman. Dr. Charles Freeman lost to the PNP's candidate and current Minister of Health Dr. Fenton Ferguson in the December 29 polls. Mr. Bailey who replaces Victor Hutchinson will be going up against Michael McLeod, the sitting JLP Councillor for that Division. Meanwhile, there are four newcomers to the PNP's slate of candidates in Western St.Thomas. They're Marsha Francis representing the Cedar Valley Division; Edwin Marr for the Llandewey Division; Hubert Williams for the White Horses Division and Abraham Walters who replaces Clive Larmond in the Trinityville Division. The PNP is hoping to take the St. Thomas Parish Council which is now dominated by the JLP at 8 to 2
