Several small business operators in Western
Jamaica were on Thursday morning given tips on how to efficiently
manage their businesses in the current economic crisis.
At a seminar on small business management, they viewed presentations on managing business growth, marketing, financial management and taxation.
According to General Manager of Jamaica National Small Business Loans Limited Frank Whylie, strategies for coping with the global economic crisis and customer service were also key areas looked at.
"It is targeted at our clients who have reached a certain stage where their businesses have started to grow and therefore they need financial assistance and advice from us so at today's seminar we will be covering how to market your business, how to keep basic business records and how to deal with issues relating to the current financial situation," said Mr. Whylie.
The seminar is being held in collaboration with the Jamaica Business Development Centre.
