JPS will not disconnect electricity for late payment - says Paulwell

Energy Minister Phillip Paulwell announced in Parliament early Tuesday afternoon that the Jamaica Public Service (JPS) consumers will not have their electricity  turned off for failure to pay their bill on time.

Paulwell told the house that customers would instead incur a late fee of J$250.

However, JPS customers will be disconnected if they are one month in arrears.
