Justice Adrian Dudley Saunders appointed next CCJ president

Justice Adrian Dudley Saunders has been appointed the incoming President of the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ).
 
Justice Saunders, who is a citizen of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, will take up duties on July 4.
 
The Heads of Government of CARICOM made the appointment at their meeting last month in Haiti.
 
A statement from the CCJ says the Regional Judicial and Legal Services Commisison selected Justice Saunders after a competitive merit based process.
 
Justice Saunders is chairman of the Caribbean Association of Judicial Officers.
