Ludlow Powell
Ludlow Powell is the new Director of the Island Traffic Authority, ITA.
Mr. Powell who assumed duties yesterday succeeds Paul Clemetson who retired earlier this year.
Prior to his appointment Mr. Powell was a Branch Manager at Guardsman Armoured Limited and also gained experience working as a Toll Manager at the Florida Turnpike Enterprise and as a Motor Transport Supervisor in the US Army.
He also had stints in education and security, having worked as a policeman and a teacher in Jamaica.
As Director of the Island Traffic Authority, Mr. Powell is expected to review and revise the organization’s policies and procedures in accordance with the Road Traffic Act and Regulations.
He will also ensure that motor vehicle inspection facilities are operated in accordance with performance standards and guide the ITA in becoming a part of the new Land Transport Authority
