A man has been charged in connection with last October's multimillion-dollar heist at a furniture store in Drax Hall, St. Ann.
Sutcliffe Davy, otherwise called 'Puss', of Back Street, Salem, in the parish, was recently charged with shop breaking and larceny.
Reports are that on October 27, the complainant securely locked up his business place and went home.
The following morning when he returned, he discovered that culprits had gained access, ransacked the store, and stole a safe that contained $8 million cash, a cheque valued at almost US$3,500, and cheques valued at more than $3. 6 million.
Forty assorted cellphones valued at $820,000 were also stolen.
Mr. Davy was seen on CCTV with another man removing the items.
