Andre McDonald, son of Portland businessman Everton Beachy Stout McDonald, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for killing his wife Andreen McDonald in 2019.
The US Army Reserve Major will be eligible for parole in seven and half years.
Last week McDonald confessed to killing Andreen, who is also from Jamaica and disposing of her body.
He had initially attempted to argue that he was acting in self-defense.
His father is awaiting trial in Jamaica in relation to the deaths of his two wives.
