Courtney Ashley, otherwise called 'Bloodstain' and 'Biggs', who was listed as the most wanted criminal in Area 4, was captured Monday in Phoenix Park Village 2 in Portmore, St. Catherine.
A man and a woman were also taken into custody during the intelligence led operation.
Assistant Commissioner Michael Phipps, head of the Area 4 Police, says Ashley, the alleged leader of the Bottom Marverly Gang, was taken into custody about 7:20 p.m. Monday.
"He was actually held in the company of a female and another high-risk target from the SAS (St. Andrew South) Division. Ashley is wanted for murders in the St. Andrew South Division and is linked to several other serious crimes across the Corporate Area," ACP Phipps noted.
He said Ashley surrendered without incident and urged other high-risk targets not to use force against the police when they are seeking to apprehend them.
The Area 4 Police head added that the woman found in the suspect's company may be charged for harbouring a fugitive.
"At this time I would want to use this opportunity again to implore our citizens not to harbour wanted persons within their premises," he urged.
