In the midst of an extended dry spell that has been severely affecting Jamaica, the Meteorological Service said on Sunday that a tropical wave to the east should move over the island by Monday.
The Met officie has predicted that the weather system should produce isolated thunderstorms across inland areas of western parishes in the afternoon. Windy conditions are expected over southern coastal areas.
A small craft warning remains in effect for inshore and offshore areas of the south coast due to strong winds and rough seas.
