The West Indies secured a tense five wicket victory via the Duckworth Lewis Stern Method over Pakistan at the Brian Lara Academy in Trinidad and Toabago on Sunday to level the three match One Day International series at 1-1.
In the rain-affected encounter, Jayden Seales with 3-23, led the West Indies bowling effort, in restricting Pakistan to 171-7 in 35 overs after they had won the toss and elected to field.
Number nine batsman Hasan Nawaz top scored with an unbeaten 36, while Hussain Talat weighed in with 31. The West Indies who were set a revised target of 181 in 35 overs, got to 184-5, in 33.2 overs.
All-rounders Roston Chase and Justin Greaves, unbeaten on 49 and 26 respectively, shared in a unbroken 77 run fifth wicket partnership to guide the West Indies home.
Chase who was named Player of the Match, reflected on the win. The third and final ODI bowls off on Tuesday at 8:30 am Jamaica time also at the Brian Lara Academy.
