Miami Herald publishes grave allegations against Jamaican politician

A number of grave allegations have been made against a Jamaican politician in an article published in the Miami Herald newspaper.

These allegations include conspiracy to murder, money laundering and drug trafficking.

The Miami Herald published the story on its website on Sunday, quoting Les Green, a former Assistant Commissioner of Police with the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), who has claimed that there has been enough evidence available to link the politician to a conspiracy to commit two murders.

Green, a British national, who returned to the UK after his contract was not renewed in 2012, told the Miami Herald that the politician has been accused of plotting the murder of one person, and attempting to convince one person of committing the act. But he said, after carefully assembling his case, Jamaica’s ministry of national security refused to offer to protect one of the key witnesses.

The witness reportedly fled, and the case fell apart.
