Jamaican-born Canadian mogul Michael Lee Chin is in Guyana exploring investment opportunities. Mr. Lee Chin is quoted as saying that he is looking for opportunities to further expand into the Caribbean.
Mr. Lee Chin is chairman of Portland Holdings whose entities include National Commercial Bank (NCB). Portland Holdings is also involved in waste management and telecommunications.
Mr. Lee Chin, who arrived in Guyana Sunday night, is accompanied by Patrick Hylton, NCB’s managing director. Their trip is on an invitation from former President, Bharrat Jagdeo.
