More than 20 rounds of ammunition seized in Kingston Western operation

The Kingston Western Police seized more than 20 rounds of ammunition during a major operation in the division on Tuesday.

Nearly 100 members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force and Jamaica Defence Force carried out a series of cordon and search operations in sections of Bread Lane, Rose Lane, Milk Lane, William Road, Board Villa, Sunlight Street and Dove Street areas due to a flare-up of gang violence.

The gang feud has led to several murders and shootings over the past few weeks.

During the searches, the cops say they seized ten 40-calibre rounds, nine 5.56 cartridges for high-powered weapons and six shotgun cartridges.

A 21-year-old murder suspect who goes by the alias 'King' has also been captured in the operations.
