More than 26,000 people in Jamaica vaccinated against COVID-19

The Ministry of Health says as at Monday, 26,512 Jamaicans had been vaccinated against COVID-19.
 
Dunstan Bryan, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, gave the update during a media briefing Tuesday morning. 
 
He noted that 94 per cent of target for week one was vaccinated, while week two has already seen the vaccination of 91 per cent of the target. 
 
Fifty-six per cent of the target population for the month has been inoculated and one per cent for the year.  
 
Vaccinations began on March 10, exactly one year after the first case of COVID-19 was reported in Jamaica.
