Murder suspect killed by police; curfew imposed in parts of Hanover

 
A suspect in the contract-style killing of a female vendor in Green Island, Hanover was fatally shot on Thursday morning during an alleged confrontation with the police in Grange Hill in the parish. 
 
Superintendent Andrew Nish, commanding officer for Hanover, confirmed with Radio Jamaica News that the unidentified man was shot after he challenged the police during a targeted operation. 
 
Teresa Bailey was attacked and shot at her stall along the Green Island main road on Tuesday evening. 
 
With murders in sections of Green Island and Lucea over 10 days, the Hanover police have imposed a curfew in Cousins Cove, Industry Cove and Harding Hall to restrict movement as they search for suspects.
 
The curfew began at 6 p.m. Wednesday and will remain in effect until 6 p.m. Friday.
 
The boundaries of the curfew are:
 
North from Cousins Cove Bridge to an imaginary line leading to Friendship Square
 
East from Friendship Square along an imaginary line leading to the back of Saxham district 
 
South from the back of Saxham district along the imaginary line leading to Lobster Smoke House
 
West from Lobster Smoke House along the imaginary that's rather along the highway leading to Cousins Cove bridge. 
 
During the hours of the curfew, all persons are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised by the ground to commander.
