The National Education Inspectorate (NEI) is getting ready to release the findings of its latest assessment of almost one hundred schools.
Education Minister Senator Ruel Reid says the results will be released in a few weeks.
He has urged school administrators to pay close attention to the data.
"They are not to bring anybody down; to make any bad comments about you, but it is in the sprit of improving the system, given the concerns raised by NEI about school leadership," he said.
The assessment of schools is based on eight indicators including leadership and management; teaching and learning, as well as students’ safety and security.
Only 1% of schools received an exceptionally high rating for leadership and management in the first cycle evaluation carried out between 2010 and 2015.
Just 11% per cent of schools were rated as good; 47% satisfactory; 38% unsatisfactory and 3% needing immediate support.
