NWC confirms contamination at White Hall source

The National Water Commission (NWC) in the eastern parish of St. Thomas has confirmed that its White Hall source was contaminated with chemicals on the week-end.


According to the NWC, the contamination occurred after chemicals were used in a nearby river to catch fish.
The affected communities are: White Hall, Soho, Seaforth, Middleton and Golden Valley.
     
RJR News understands that a team from the NWC is trying to flush the Dam and water is expected to return to the communities on Tuesday.
