The National Water Commission (NWC) in the eastern parish of St. Thomas has confirmed that its White Hall source was contaminated with chemicals on the week-end.
According to the NWC, the contamination occurred after chemicals were used in a nearby river to catch fish.
The affected communities are: White Hall, Soho, Seaforth, Middleton and Golden Valley.
RJR News understands that a team from the NWC is trying to flush the Dam and water is expected to return to the communities on Tuesday.
