Tareek James, the top shooter in the One Don Gang, is to serve 17 years and six months.
James, 24, confessed that he killed a man called 'Outlaw' in Lauriston, St. Catherine in November 2017.
Chief Justice Bryan Sykes pointed out that residents of Jones Avenue, where James lived after his mother died, expressed sympathy claiming that he was forced to join the gang.
According to a resident, James's life and that of his family would have been in danger if he had refused to join the criminal network.
But Justice Sykes said despite his youth, the convict was old enough to discern right from wrong.
He said to willingly participate in a plan to kill someone is at the very least disturbing.
Another convict, Fabian Johnson has been sentenced to three years and nine months for being a member of the One Don Gang.
Earlier today, the lone female convict, Stephanie Cole Christie was sentenced to nine years and 10 months behind bars.
She was convicted in March for being a member of a criminal organisation.
Nine of 15 people convicted in the One Don Gang trial have so far been sentenced.
