Effective Tuesday, the operating theatre at the May Pen Hospital in Clarendon will be closed for two weeks.
A statement from the Southern Regional Health Authority (SRHA) said the closure is to undertake emergency works.
The hospital will facilitate emergency surgeries but will redirect other cases to the Mandeville Regional and Percy Junor hospitals in Manchester. Elective surgeries will be rescheduled.
The operating theatre will re-open on October 12.
