Pig farmer who allegedly fired at police, charged

A St. Andrew pig farmer who allegedly fired at a police team in the Riverton area of Kingston three weeks ago, has been charged with nine counts of shooting with intent.
 
He has been identified as 36-year-old Aldino Forkes, of Cooreville Gardens, Kingston 20. 
 
The Hunts Bay Police reported that about 11 o'clock on the morning of Sunday, September 4, a team was on patrol in Riverton when explosions were heard. 
 
Mr. Forkes was allegedly seen with a firearm in his hand. 
 
He reportedly fired at the police.
 
Mr. Forkes was chased, accosted and a pistol allegedly taken from him.
