Plans have now been finalised for the expansion of the Port Henderson Road in Portmore, St. Catherine.
Mayor of Portmore Leon Thomas, told RJR News that the contract to convert the road into a dual carriageway has been signed.
"The design is done already, the estimate is done already and it's already gone out for tender," he revealed. "So we are going to see some work between now and, say, February, we should see a major improvement on that stretch of road."
He declined to disclose the cost of the project.
