The Kingston Western Police have charged a suspect in connection with a recent murder in the division.
Donovan McFarlane, 25, otherwise called 'Diamond', has been charged with the murder of Randy Wilson, a 33-year-old plumber of Jones Pen, St. Catherine.
Mr. Wilson was fatally shot on March 16 in a gully, in the vicinity of Hannah Street.
In addition to the murder, Mr. McFarlane has also been charged with possession of prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition, making use of a firearm to commit a felony and conspiracy to murder.
Investigators reported that about 9 a.m. on March 16, residents heard gunfire in the community.
They later found the body of Mr. Wilson with multiple bullet wounds and the hands and feet bound with a piece of rope.
Senior Superintendent Michael Phipps, head of the Kingston Western Police, told Radio Jamaica News that Mr. McFarlane was captured in a police operation.
He was charged on the weekend following an identification parade.
