The police have made another dent in the illegal drugs
for guns trade operating between Jamaica
and Haiti.
A 41-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday night and more than 200 pounds of compressed ganja seized during an operation in Clarendon.
The man was nabbed after the vehicle he was driving was intercepted in Palmers Cross.
According to Spokesman for Operation Kingfish, Detective Sergeant Jubert Llewellyn, the man was a major player in the syndicate operating between Jamaica and Haiti.
"Shortly after 7 pm members of Operation Kingfish assisted by colleagues from Area Three Crime Squad Narcotics Division and the Clarendon Police, signaled a white Nissan Sunny motor car to stop,"
"He complied and during a search of the vehicle approxiamately 200 pounds of compressed ganja was found in the trunk and on the back seat of the vehicle. Consequently the driver was taken into custody," said Sergeant Llewellyn.
