Homicide detectives in St Thomas are probing the gruesome killing of a truck driver in the parish yesterday.
The suspect in his killing was later shot dead by unknown persons in retaliation.
The deceased have been identified as 31-year-old Jason Joseph, a truck driver of Top Hill, Soho, and Alwayne Roberts.
It's reported that Mr Joseph's headless body was found along a dirt track by residents in his community Saturday morning.
The police were alerted.
Sometime after the discovery of Mr Joseph's body, Mr Roberts, who was believed to be the suspect in the murder, was seen driving away the truck driver's Grey Toyota Levin motorcar.
It's reported that Roberts was shot several times by unknown assailants in retaliation.
He died on the scene.
