Several members of the political directorate, coverged on the grounds of Roxborough in southern Manchester on Tuesday to pay homage to late national hero and founder of the People's National Party (PNP), The Right Excellent Norman Washington Manley on the anniversary of his birthday.
Several floral tributes were laid in the ruins of the house where the late national hero lived.
The structure is now being used as a museum, highlighting Manley's life.
Among those paying tributes were Audley Shaw, Peter Bunting, and Mikael Phillips.
Dr. Ahmed Reid, Assistant Professor in History at City University in New York and Keynote speaker, reminded those in attendance of the importance of CARICOM's call for reparations for more than 300 years of slavery by the Europeans in the Caribbean.
