RJR News has been reliably informed that the popular Ruins Restaurant in Ocho Rios, has been ordered closed by the St. Ann Health Department.
The management of the establishment was slapped with the closure notice after the health authorities carried out an inspection at the location and uncovered several health concerns.
A public closure notice was placed on the building.
The health department says this notice will remain on the building until the establishment is fully compliant.
Wesley Davis, the Chairman of the North East Regional Health Authority, has confirmed the closure and said the management of the restaurant had been given time to rectify the situation, following which a full inspection will be carried out.
