PR Consultant and Veteran actress - Christine Bell, is dead

Christine Bell, one of Jamaica's most talented Public Relations, Communications, and Theatre personalities, is dead.She passed away late Friday after being ill for some time.
    
Christine had a long and distinguished career in both the theatre and communications fields.A trained journalist, she has worked in the print and electronic media both in Jamaica and North America, and has served as President of the Public Relations Society of Jamaica.
    
She was a founding member of the Jamaica Association of Dramatic Artistes, JADA, and former producer and two time recipient of the Actor Boy Award.
In addition, she  performed in several productions for both the stage and television.
   
Her last production was for JADA, a one woman show called Josephine's Night Out.
   
President of JADA, Carlette Beharrie, remembers Christine as an exceptionally talented individual.    
"In theatre she has been for the last thirty odd years one of the most outstanding stalwards and actresses, all the producers and writers that she worked with were always in awe of her talent and work ethics, she promoted professionalism in everything that she did and she was very very thorough about it" said Ms Beharrie.
Meanwhile, for her role in communications, President of the Press Association of Jamaica, (PAJ), Jenni Campbell, explains that Christine Bell was outstanding.    
"Everytime that we needed to meet to have a discussion and she came up with workable ideas, ideas that could have been implemented right away. In her passing we have lost a talent that we are not going to replace in a short period and I think that it is a sad day for us but at the same time there is much about Christine that we have to embrace and celebrate ( as we ) move forward" she said.
