A state visit to Jamaica by the President of Senegal
His Excellency Abdoulaye Wade has been cancelled.
A brief statement from Jamaica House says the visit which was scheduled for July 31 to August 2 would no longer take place.
It gave no reason for the cancellation.
President Wade's visit was scheduled to coincide with Emancipation Day celebrations.
It could not be ascertained whether the trip was called off because President Wade is in the middle of a lobby to get the International Criminal Court (ICC) to freeze its Darfur investigation for a year.
President Wade's request to the ICC follows uproar in Sudan over moves to seek the arrest of President Omar al-Bashir for war crimes.
