Gunmen struck in Portmore, St. Catherine this afternoon, leaving a female pump attendant dead.
It's reported that two men on a motorcycle drove into the Phoenix gas station in Portmore and opened fire on the female pump attendant.
She died on the spot.
The woman has been identified as 31-year-old Shevelle Lewis, from Compound, Central Village.
The incident happened sometime after 4:00 p.m.
Senior Superintendent Christopher Phillips, head of the St. Catherine South Police, told Radio Jamaica News that he and members of his team are on the scene gathering information.
