There will be no racing at Caymanas park on Saturday (March 12) after stake holders decided that they will not go ahead with any activity after the Government gave bookmakers the go ahead to reopen for Betting.
RJR News understands that trainers decided to withdraw their horses from all events at the track following a brief meeting with Minister with responsibility for racing, Dr. Peter Phillips.
The stake holders say they have been trying to arrange a meeting with the mMinister for the longest time but had no success and were disappointed that he was able to find time to meet with the Bookmakers at short notice.
The bookmakers had closed for the last two race days following an increase in Rights fees from Caymanas Track Limited.
