Recovery mission underway for six presumed dead after Baltimore bridge collapse

The US Coast Guard has transitioned to a recovery operation for the six missing men who fell in the waters around the collapsed Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland on Tuesday morning.

The bridge was struck by a container ship that lost power.

The coast guard says, due to the length of time that has elapsed and the frigid water temperature, the missing construction workers are presumed dead.

The six workers were citizens of Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.

Meanwhile, officials say investigators have boarded the container ship and recovered its data recorder.
