Prime Minister of Dominica Roosevelt Skerritt has called for a regional focus on primary health care.
Prime Minister Skerrit says primary health care is key to addressing the issue of Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases which continue to be a major threat to society.
He says too much time is being spent on treating those diseases rather than seeking to minimise risks or prevent them.
He was speaking at the official opening of the 10th OECS Council of Ministers for Health alongside the 37th OECS Pooled Procurement Services Policy Board Meeting on Tuesday.
