The management of the RIU hotel at Rose Hall, Montego Bay in St James and personnel from the fire department will on Friday continue their investigation to determine the cause of yesterday's explosion at the hotel which claimed the life of an employee.

Three other workers were injured in the explosion, which took place in the boiler room, and were taken to hospital.

Omar Robinson, President of the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association, told RJR News that he has been in contact with the management about the incident, and that the hotel has been closed.
