Mr. Williams, who is an English teacher, was presented with the Jack Petchey Leadership Award and medal after he was singled out from over 300 eligible teachers in the UK.
For his efforts, Mr. Williams won one thousand pounds to be used for further work with young people.
He was also recognised as an outstanding teacher at the Central Foundation Girls' School in London where he teaches English and leads Media Studies among members of the teaching staff.
