The RJRGLEANER Communications Group has announced the sudden passing of its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Anthony Smith.
In a statement issued today, the company said Mr. Smith died this morning after a brief period of illness.
Mr. Smith joined the RJRGLEANER Communications Group in October 2022 as Deputy Chief Executive Officer with responsibility for Print and Digital operations. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer in January 2024.
An engineer by training, Mr. Smith brought decades of leadership experience in the telecommunications sector, having held senior executive roles in Jamaica and across the wider Caribbean.
His career included stints at Cable & Wireless and Massy Technologies, prior to joining the RJRGLEANER Group.
The company extended condolences to Mr. Smith's immediate and wider family, saying its thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.
