Row over Ghana's anti-LGBTQ+ bill stalls appointment of new ministers

The speaker of Ghana's parliament has blocked the approval of new ministers amid a row over the president's delay in signing an anti-LGBTQ+ bill passed last month.

The president has asked parliament not to send the bill for his assent until legal challenges against it are dealt with.

The speaker has condemned the president's move as contemptuous.

The bill criminalises gay relationships and anyone who supports them.
