30 year-old Dwayne Tomlinson, a security guard from of Ranger Security Company was killed while on duty at the Lane Plaza Mandeville early this morning.
Mr. Tomlinson who was unarmed was reportedly hit with a blunt instrument by robbers who broke into Sandra’s Restaurant upstairs the Plaza and stole cash.
The security guard's cell phone was also stolen.
He was the sole security guard assigned to the Plaza
ACP Derrick Cochrane in charge of the area 3 police says a man is now being questioned by the police in connection with the murder.
The police say they have convincing evidence that links him to the deceased.
